Now Hiring: Maitre D’ / Lead Host – Dudley’s (NYC)

Pay: $28/hr Tips

Location: Lower East Side, New York City

Schedule: Full-time, nights weekends required

Dudley’s, a beloved downtown neighborhood staple known for its warm energy, iconic brunch scene, and vibrant all-day atmosphere, is seeking an experienced Maitre D’ / Lead Host to join our front-of-house leadership team.

The Maitre D’ sets the tone for the guest experience — greeting guests with warmth, managing the flow of the dining room, and working closely with servers and management to ensure smooth service during high-volume periods.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome guests with hospitality, professionalism, and personality
• Manage reservations, waitlist, floor pacing, and guest communication
• Lead and support the host team; model exceptional service standards
• Coordinate seating with FOH & BOH teams to maintain smooth service flow
• Handle guest inquiries, VIP requests, and special accommodations
• Maintain a polished front desk environment and organized reservation notes
• Act as an ambassador for the Dudley’s brand and guest experience
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 1 year experience as a Lead Host, Maitre D’, or similar role in a high-volume NYC restaurant
• Confident, friendly, and calm under pressure
• Strong understanding of pace, flow, and seating strategy
• Experience with reservation systems (Resy preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and team-first mentality
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and high-traffic service periods
