Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Assist with food handling, prep, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Use reservation management tools to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow
Skills
- Proven experience with restaurant POS systems such as Toast POS
- Strong background in food service with casual dining, fine dining or upscale restaurant experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing time in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with culinary operations or kitchen support is a plus
