Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review production schedules, work orders, and customer requirements to determine product specifications, production volumes, and delivery timelines.
  • Plan and coordinate departmental operations to meet production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Evaluate production schedules and forecast labor requirements to ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Communicate and enforce company policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, equipment performance, productivity, and product quality.
  • Recommend adjustments to work methods, staffing, and equipment usage to improve operational efficiency.
  • Analyze production challenges and partner with employees to develop practical solutions that minimize downtime and maximize output.
  • Lead, motivate, and engage employees to achieve departmental objectives and performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with managers and cross-functional teams to align production activities across departments.
  • Establish production priorities and sequencing to optimize manufacturing flow and on-time delivery.
  • Develop and maintain operational schedules to ensure products are manufactured according to quality standards and specifications.
  • Monitor production performance and address operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize delays and control costs.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure safe operation and effective utilization.
  • Develop, update, and enforce standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues; escalate unresolved matters when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reporting systems.
  • Ensure department organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards are consistently maintained, including designated exterior work areas.

Qualification

  • s:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred;
  • orHigh school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of related manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or production leadership experience;
  • orAn equivalent combination of education and experienc
