Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our team and help build high‑performance, cloud‑ready, event‑driven systems. The ideal candidate combines strong backend engineering skills with modern streaming technologies, reactive programming, and cloud-native development. This role also offers the opportunity to work with emerging AI/LLM and agentic technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain microservices and backend components using Java (Spring/Spring Boot) and Python.
Build highly scalable, reactive services leveraging frameworks such as Spring WebFlux.
Architect and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
Develop real-time data processing pipelines using Apache Flink.
Work with both NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational (Oracle) databases to support diverse application workloads.
Design, document, and consume RESTful APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, DevOps, and product to deliver reliable, cloud-ready software.
Contribute to CI/CD, cloud deployment, and production support activities.
Required Qualifications:

Experience in Software Engineering or equivalent technical background.
Demonstrated hands‑on Java experience, including proficiency in Spring / Spring Boot.
Demonstrated experience with Python, focused on backend or data-driven development.
Deep understanding of Reactive Programming (WebFlux, etc.)
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.
Experience with Flink for stream processing and data pipelines.
Database expertise in both MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle (RDBMS).
Demonstrated experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interface (API)
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with Cloud technologies
Exposure to LLM (Large Language Models), agentic architectures, and prompt engineering concepts.
Familiarity with ADK (Agent Development Kit), Playbook, or similar agentic frameworks.
