Head Coach Girls Basketball

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team at Webster County High School as a Coach. This full-time position involves guiding and mentoring student-athletes in their respective sports, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a love for physical fitness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in athletics, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to the personal and athletic development of students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for student-athletes to enhance their skills and performance.
• Organize and conduct practices, drills, and competitive events.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of athletes, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude among athletes.
• Collaborate with other coaches, faculty, and staff to support the overall athletic program and school community.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines governing high school athletics.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and the community regarding student-athlete progress and program initiatives.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with coaching techniques and trends.
• Develop and manage budgets related to the sports program, including equipment and travel expenses.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the rules and strategies of the sport being coached.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their best.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the sports schedule.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all student-athletes.
