Sebree Food Service Manager

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Manager to oversee the food service operations at Sebree Elementary School. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring that all food service activities comply with health and safety regulations while providing nutritious and appealing meals to our students. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for nutrition, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food service operations, including meal preparation, serving, and cleanup.
• Plan and develop menus that meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate dietary restrictions.
• Manage food inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storage of food and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations and standards.
• Supervise and train food service staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Monitor and maintain food service equipment and facilities to ensure they are clean and in good working order.
• Maintain accurate records of food production, inventory, and financial transactions.
• Collaborate with school administration and staff to promote healthy eating initiatives and food service programs.
• Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to food service operations.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in food service management.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Experience in food service management, preferably in a school or institutional setting.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and food service management software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Certification in food safety and sanitation (e.g., ServSafe) preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must pass a background check and meet any other requirements set forth by the school district.
