Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation.
• Assess student progress through various methods, including formative and summative assessments, and provide timely feedback.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance the educational experience and participate in professional development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
• Implement classroom management strategies that promote a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Valid state teaching certification or license for elementary education.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Proficiency in using technology for instruction and assessment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
• Previous teaching experience in an elementary setting is preferred but not required.
• Passion for fostering a love of learning and supporting the holistic development of students.
