I'm currently working closely with the hiring team at a well-established Am Law 200 firm looking to strengthen its Chicago Labor & Employment practice. If you're looking to combine sophisticated Employment Litigation with strategic counseling for employer clients, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team handling complex workplace matters.

• Balanced Practice – Combine complex Employment Litigation with day-to-day counseling for management and HR teams.
• Broad Practice Exposure – Handle discrimination defense, Wage & Hour, restrictive covenants, traditional labor matters, and class and collective actions.
• Established Client Base – Advise sophisticated employer clients on complex workplace issues across a variety of industries.
• Hybrid Working – Three days per week in the office, supporting collaboration while maintaining flexibility.
• Transparent Expectations – Competitive compensation with an annual billable expectation of approximately 1,900 hours.
The Role:
• Defend employers across a broad range of Labor & Employment disputes.
• Handle litigation involving discrimination, retaliation, Wage & Hour and restrictive covenant matters.
• Advise management and HR professionals on day-to-day employment issues.
• Manage pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice and hearing preparation.
• Support traditional labor matters and class or collective actions where required.
About You:
• 10 years' Labor & Employment experience, including litigation and counseling.
• Active Illinois Bar admission in good standing.
• Strong employer-side experience across Employment Litigation matters.
• Excellent legal writing, advocacy and case management skills.
• Stable career history demonstrating long-term progression.
• Experience with class or collective actions, NLRB matters or executive employment agreements is advantageous.
Location:
Chicago, Illinois.
Hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office.
Package:
• Base salary between $170,000 and $190,000 DOE.
• Approximately 1,900 annual billable hours.
• Hybrid working model.
