The Opportunity
The associate will support zoning and land use matters tied to commercial real estate developments, including diligence, entitlement strategy, permitting and approvals, and development related agreements and negotiations. The practice is weighted primarily toward transactional and advisory work, with additional exposure to administrative proceedings and land use disputes as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 3rd to 6th year Land Use and Zoning Associate with:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in a commercial real estate practice, ideally supporting development matters
- Hands on experience or strong familiarity with zoning and land use issues, including entitlements, permits, and local approval processes
- Excellent legal drafting and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex documents with limited supervision
- Strong academic credentials
- Active Texas Bar admission
- Experience practicing in an Am Law 200 environment or similarly sophisticated national firm setting
