Parts Salesperson Responsibilities
As a Parts Salesperson with WCTractor in Lufkin, you'll be the go-to resource for customers who depend on their equipment to get work done, whether that's a rancher, a logging contractor, or a homeowner with acreage. You'll work as part of our sales team to keep customers running and keep the parts counter organized.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet customers and help them find the right part the first time, including answering technical questions, advising on product usage, and offering practical maintenance and installation guidance
- Manage parts inventory, verifying accurate stock counts and keeping the counter and shelves organized for fast, accurate lookups
- Work through backorders, damaged parts, or stock-outs with customers and find solutions that keep their equipment, and their business, moving
- Organize merchandise and help update displays to reflect current inventory, seasonal demand, and promotions
- Calculate sales totals accurately, accounting for discounts, store credit, and promotions
- Label and catalog parts by function and price using established documentation methods
Parts Salesperson Qualifications
Minimum requirements include:
- Two-year degree or equivalent hands-on experience with tractors, ag equipment, construction equipment, or outdoor power equipment
- Ability to learn part numbers, cross-references, and product lines quickly
- Personable and dependable, with genuine follow-through for customers
- Three to five years of customer service experience preferred; experience in an ag, construction, or outdoor power dealership parts department is a strong plus
- Familiarity with parts inventory systems and stockroom organization preferred
