Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 global law firm seeking a 2nd to 3rd year Technology Companies Group Associate to join its Seattle, Washington office.

This is a 100 percent transactional corporate opportunity focused on advising high growth and emerging technology businesses on venture capital financings and related corporate matters. The role is suited to an associate who enjoys working closely with founders, investors and company side clients through fast moving financing and growth transactions.

The firm offers a well established technology focused platform with a strong national and international reach. The team is collaborative, commercially focused and partner led, with a broad client base across the innovation economy and meaningful integration across offices and complementary practice areas.

The Opportunity

You will work on venture capital financings and related corporate transactions for emerging and growth stage technology companies. The role will involve drafting and negotiating transaction documents, supporting deal execution, managing workstreams, advising on general corporate matters and coordinating with partners and specialists as clients scale.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a 2nd to 3rd year Technology Companies Group Associate with:

• 2 to 3 years of relevant corporate transactional experience
• Experience with venture capital financings, emerging companies work or related private company transactions preferred
• Strong drafting, issue spotting and transaction management skills
• Excellent academic credentials with high quality written and verbal communication skills
• Admission to the Washington State Bar required for Seattle based candidates

Compensation
