What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
- Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations according to established clinical protocols.
- Conduct a variety of venous, arterial, and cerebrovascular ultrasound studies.
- Evaluate vascular anatomy and obtain appropriate diagnostic images and measurements.
- Perform examinations used to assess conditions such as venous insufficiency, DVT, carotid disease, and abdominal aortic abnormalities.
- Complete lower-extremity vascular imaging and related diagnostic studies.
- Provide ultrasound support during selected vascular procedures.
- Review images for technical quality and obtain additional views or measurements when appropriate.
- Accurately document examination findings and technical information for physician review.
- Communicate professionally with patients and explain examinations in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Follow established imaging, documentation, quality, and safety standards.
- Work closely with physicians and other clinical staff to support efficient patient care.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3 years of hands-on vascular ultrasound experience.
- Experience working in a hospital, vascular laboratory, outpatient imaging center, or comparable clinical environment.
- Strong understanding of vascular anatomy, pathology, and diagnostic sonography.
- Ability to perform vascular studies with minimal supervision.
- RVT or RVS certification is preferred.
- Candidates working toward vascular registry certification may also be considered.
- General ultrasound experience or registration is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Excellent patient communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
- $28-$33 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
