Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work directly with clients and be responsible for a variety of tax, accounting, and advisory services, including:
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, S corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to individuals and businesses.
- Perform tax research and analysis and communicate recommendations to clients.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Prepare financial statements and other financial information for business clients.
- Prepare financial projections and assist clients with business planning.
- Assist clients with accounting and QuickBooks-related questions and issues.
- Represent clients before federal and state taxing authorities when necessary.
- Review work prepared by less-experienced staff and provide guidance and feedback.
- Mentor and help develop junior accountants.
- Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines, particularly during tax season.
- Identify opportunities to provide additional services and add value to client relationships.
- Participate in the continued development and growth of the firm.
