Key Responsibilities
- Review complex tax returns at the supervisor level, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to professional standards
- Prepare complex tax returns including individual, fiduciary, employee benefit plan, nonprofit, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Perform technical tax research and analyze complex tax issues to determine appropriate solutions
- Manage multiple tax engagements while meeting client deadlines and quality expectations
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and support
- Serve as a technical tax resource for internal teams and provide guidance on tax matters
- Assist clients with tax compliance, planning, and advisory needs
- Review work prepared by staff and provide feedback, coaching, and development support
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff and interns
- Assist with tax administration projects and process improvements
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and business development activities
- Develop industry expertise and support specialized client groups
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
- 4-6 years of tax experience in public accounting or CPA firm environment
- Supervisor-level experience reviewing tax returns
- Strong experience preparing complex tax returns
- Experience with individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, nonprofit, and employee benefit plan tax returns
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax regulations, and accounting standards
- Ability to perform technical tax research and apply findings to client situations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet strict deadlines
- Experience mentoring or supervising accounting professionals
