SEO Manager

Overview

The agency is looking for a results-oriented, detail-driven SEO Manager to oversee the execution and optimization of SEO strategies across our client portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with tactical execution and leadership ability. You'll work closely with internal teams to drive measurable growth for home service-based businesses, particularly in competitive local markets.

Key Responsibilities

• SEO Strategy & Implementation
  
  

Support the development and lead the implementation of SEO strategies that align with client goals. Execute on-site and off-site SEO tasks, including content optimization, internal linking, keyword strategy, and link acquisition efforts.

• Team Collaboration & Oversight
  
  

Manage and mentor SEO Specialists, assign tasks, review deliverables, and support their growth. Ensure team workflows follow best practices and deliver consistent value to clients.

• Technical SEO & Audits
  
  

Conduct site audits and implement technical updates such as improvements to site structure, Core Web Vitals, indexing, page speed, mobile-friendliness, and schema markup to enhance crawlability and site performance.

• Local SEO Execution
  
  

Own the execution of local SEO initiatives such as optimizing Google Business Profiles, building local citations, and developing geo-targeted content. Ensure clients with multiple locations are set up for success in local search.

• AI & SEO Tools
  
  

Leverage SEO tools and emerging AI-based solutions to enhance keyword research, content strategy, internal linking, and automation. Stay informed on updates to AI search platforms and support testing

new approaches under the guidance of leadership.

• Performance Reporting
  
  

Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and conversion trends using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs. Produce and present performance reports with insights and action items.

• Cross-Team Collaboration
  
  

Work closely with the content, web, and client strategy teams to ensure SEO is integrated into all digital initiatives. Advocate for SEO throughout content planning, site development, and campaign rollouts.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in SEO, with a strong portfolio of results across technical, content, and local SEO areas.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior SEO team members.
• Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
• Solid understanding of technical SEO concepts, including indexing, crawlability, structured data, site speed, and mobile-first indexing.
• Familiarity with executing local SEO tactics and managing multi-location strategies.
• Experience incorporating AI tools or workflows into SEO processes is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills. Able to clearly explain SEO concepts to internal stakeholders or clients.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with multiple projects in motion.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital media, communications, or related field preferred.
