Responsibilities
- Serve as point of contact for clients
- Determine issues and proactively communicate solution options to clients and team
- Constantly serve clients as a trusted advisor
- Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing standards, regulations, and industry practices
- Lead the staff to ensure accurate and timely client deliverable
- Knowledge of foreign reporting, i.e. FBAR, and Form 5471
- Collaborate with Partners on tax planning
- Research tax issues and providing guidance to clients
- Advocate for staff by assisting in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating
- Contribute to practice development activities that lead to the generation of new business
- BS Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5 years of technical tax experience in public accounting, or related field
- CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or equivalent certification is a must
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong operational and project management skills
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and approaches projects with a sense of urgency
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material
- Preferred: Master's degree in Taxation or related field
- Preferred: Experience with Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite: UltraTax CS and AdvanceFlow
