Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of creditors' rights litigation, including drafting of pleadings, motions, summary judgments and discovery documents.
- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling creditors' rights matters including managing case files, maintaining calendars and tracking deadlines.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations and case precedents.
- Assist with trial preparation, compile trial binders, organize witness and exhibit lists and other pre-trial materials.
- Serve as a liaison with courts and clients, handling communications professionally and promptly.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including accounting to support case-related tasks and workflows.
- Paralegal certification or degree strongly preferred. Minimum 3 years experience in a law firm environment; background in debt collection, foreclosure or tax collection preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while efficiently meeting deadlines.
- Proficient with legal research tools and familiar with case management software.
- Committed to delivering excellent client service, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
