Litigation Paralegal (Hybrid – Pittsburgh, PA)
Compensation: $70,000 – $100,000 base
A prestigious, nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its Pittsburgh office on a hybrid basis. This is a high-impact role supporting complex litigation matters and working closely with attorneys throughout all phases of the case lifecycle.
Position Overview
The Litigation Paralegal will provide full-cycle support on active matters, from intake and discovery through trial and post-trial. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including investigation, discovery, trial, and post-trial proceedings
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
- Manage discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production
- Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and evidence (both physical and electronic)
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review
- Prepare for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial, including exhibit binders and witness materials
- Coordinate with clients, experts, vendors, and opposing counsel regarding case logistics and scheduling
- Manage court filings, including e-filing in state and federal courts
- Track deadlines, maintain litigation calendars, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Qualifications
- 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment
- Experience supporting complex litigation matters and managing large document volumes
- Strong drafting experience (pleadings, motions, discovery)
- Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Concordance, or similar
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work directly with attorneys, clients, and external parties
Additional Information:
Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
