Key Responsibilities
Escrow Management
- Manage the full escrow lifecycle for residential and/or commercial real estate transactions
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Oversee escrow accounts, ensuring proper handling and timely disbursement of funds
- Prepare, review, and finalize closing documents, including purchase agreements, loan documents, and settlement statements
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations
- Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, and other stakeholders
- Gather and verify all required documentation for closing
- Ensure smooth communication and timely progress of each transaction
- Conduct credit-related reviews and ensure adherence to applicable laws, including Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Fair Housing regulations
- Stay current on industry regulations, mortgage servicing practices, and compliance requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the transaction process
- Provide updates, answer questions, and resolve issues proactively
- Deliver a high level of customer service to ensure client satisfaction
- Active Limited Practice Officer (LPO) License (Required)
- Proven experience as an Escrow Officer handling end-to-end transactions
- Strong understanding of mortgage servicing, loan processing, and escrow procedures
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to compliance and deadlines
- Professional demeanor when working with clients, lenders, and real estate professionals
