Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to develop accurate and competitive project estimates. This role is critical to our success and requires strong communication and follow-up skills when working with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as needed.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from conceptual, schematic, and final construction documents.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to develop competitive bids.
• Assess project risks, site conditions, and construction challenges that may impact project costs.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients throughout the bidding process.
• Follow up on submitted bids, budgets, and proposals to support project acquisition efforts.
• Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, material pricing, and industry trends.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of General Contractor estimating experience.
• Experience with design-build estimating preferred.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Buildr, Togal AI, and other estimating software.
