Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as needed.
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from conceptual, schematic, and final construction documents.
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to develop competitive bids.
- Assess project risks, site conditions, and construction challenges that may impact project costs.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients throughout the bidding process.
- Follow up on submitted bids, budgets, and proposals to support project acquisition efforts.
- Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, material pricing, and industry trends.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of General Contractor estimating experience.
- Experience with design-build estimating preferred.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Buildr, Togal AI, and other estimating software.
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
