The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Lathe and Milling machines to produce precision components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Program, adjust, and verify machine offsets and tool changes to maintain tight tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure quality compliance.
- Perform machining operations on components used in industrial valves, actuators, and related assemblies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining or dimensional issues as they arise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the machining area and ensure machines are properly serviced.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve processes and efficiency.
- Follow all safety standards and company policies during machining operations.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically with Lathe and Milling machines.
- Experience machining valve components or working in the valve manufacturing industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, etc.).
- Ability to work from technical drawings and maintain tight tolerances.
- Familiarity with various metals, including stainless steel, brass, and carbon steel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or technical certification in machining or manufacturing technology required.
- Knowledge of manual machining operations.
- Understanding of tool wear, speeds, and feeds for different materials.
