Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.

• Collaborate directly with clients to gather tax information and address tax-related inquiries.

• Develop tax projections and assist with planning opportunities.

• Research tax issues and ensure compliance with current regulations.

• Handle tax notices and correspondence from authorities.

• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.

• Work closely with team members to deliver exceptional client service.

• Support clients with international tax reporting and compliance (experience preferred but not required).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

• 2-5 years of tax preparation experience in a public accounting environment.

• Proficiency with QuickBooks.

• Familiarity with CCH tax software preferred.

• Exposure to international tax clients or reporting is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy tax seasons.
