Job Title: Bookkeeper
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks experience and a background in construction, preferably plumbing or HVAC. This role is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting operations along with supporting HR and compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks
Perform daily data entry and maintain accurate financial records
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Process billing and invoicing
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports
Assist with compliance filings including CHRO and DAS
Process and manage certified payroll reporting
Handle workers' compensation reporting and filings
Maintain OSHA reporting requirements
Human Resources Duties:
Coordinate employee onboarding and terminations
Administer employee benefits, including insurance and COBRA
Assist with unemployment claims and related documentation
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper
Proficiency in QuickBooks
Experience in construction industry (plumbing/HVAC preferred)
Knowledge of certified payroll and compliance reporting
Familiarity with HR processes and employment regulations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with trade parts and industry tools
Understanding of warranty, repair, and replacement processes
