Clinic Staff LPN/EMT

Position Overview - Second Shift in Onsite Clinic - 1:00pm to 9:00/10:00pm Depending on Production

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our clinic staff in Hinton, VA . The ideal candidate will provide care, emergency response, ergonomic attention and administrative support for the Occupational Health clinic operation at the VPGC Poultry Processing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including vital signs monitoring, wound care, medication administration, and patient education under the supervision of healthcare providers.
• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff during examinations and procedures.
• Perform triage and basic emergency care as needed, utilizing EMT skills.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, medical equipment, and supplies to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Coordinate patient flow and assist with scheduling and follow-up appointments.
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries and provide compassionate support and education.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in the state of Virginia.
• Current EMT certification.
• Previous clinical experience preferred, especially in outpatient or primary care settings. Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with keeping files.
• CPR certification required.

Work Environment

This position is based in a busy outpatient clinic setting in Hinton, VA. The role requires multitasking, organization and the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
