Job Summary
The Production Grinder is responsible for grinding, polishing, and finishing metal parts while meeting all safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate grinders to remove defects, burrs, and excess weld material
- Select, replace, and adjust abrasive belts, wheels, and discs
- Inspect workpieces, tools, and equipment before and during use
- Polish metal parts to achieve smooth, high-quality finishes
- Follow all safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Maintain clean work areas and complete required documentation
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must meet client-specific requirements
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to read and understand work instructions in English
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
Location: Paramount, CA
Pay Rate: $20.21/hour
Schedule:
- Regular Shift: 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM, Monday–Friday
- Training: 1st Shift, 4:45 AM – 3:00 PM (for the first few weeks)
