Interim Accounting Manager

Job Title: Accounting Manager (Temp 4-6 months)Responsibilities:Lead the month-end close process, managing the general ledger, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and reporting timelines.Prepare and consolidate monthly financial statements, including departmental reporting, flash reports, and percentage-of-completion accounting.Manage cash and treasury activities, including weekly cash forecasting, liquidity planning, bank accounts, payroll funding, and corporate credit and expense programs.Oversee accounts receivable operations by leading weekly A/R meetings, monitoring collections and aging, and supporting cash flow and 120-day planning.Direct accounts payable operations, including establishing weekly payment schedules, leading A/P payment meetings, and confirming check runs.Supervise daily accounting operations across A/P, A/R, and Payroll, providing oversight and approvals for timecards, PTO, and payroll submissions.Review payrolls for accuracy and compliance, ensure timely payroll tax filings, and coordinate closely with HR on payroll-related processes.Produce financial analyses such as gross margin, manufacturing cost, and R&D reporting, while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives.Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies, ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and support internal and external audit requests.Lead financial review meetings with management and department leaders, communicating key financial insights, risks, and trends to support decision-making.Qualifications:Possess a minimum of 6 years of accounting experience.Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.Preference for experience in the manufacturing industry.Proficiency in Epicor is preferred, and advanced Excel skills are required.Financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex financial data and supervise accounting and payroll teams. Exhibit excellent organizational and leadership skills.Knowledge of corporate accounting procedures.PAY TRANSPARENCY: The estimated hourly pay range for this position is $50 - $70. Actual compensation will be determined by the hiring authority and may vary depending on qualifications and other factors relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
