Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team for the day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality direct patient care, assist with daily living activities, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for our residents and patients. Responsibilities

• Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, documenting findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems).
• Support patient transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety and comfort.
• Administer medications as directed by nursing staff, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff, including those with complex needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols, especially in settings requiring sterile procedures.
• Assist with medical documentation, record keeping, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards
• Proven experience working with electronic health records (EHR systems) such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and patient care techniques across diverse healthcare settings including hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or home care.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and CPR effectively in emergency situations.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges enhances your ability to provide personalized care.
• Familiarity with specialized care areas such as memory care, dementia care, infectious disease management, or pediatric nursing is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for caregiving roles that require clear interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper lifting practices while maintaining patient safety standards.

Florida Background Screening Requirement:
This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida law. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required background screening.
