What are the responsibilities and job description for the AMSTI Materials Specialist position at University of North Alabama?
JOB This position is responsible for supporting the materials center operations for the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative. The materials center packages, distributes, and refurbishes math and science educational materials for K-12 schools in the UNA Inservice Center Region. Starting salary is $15-$21 per hour, dependent upon experience.

- Stage kits in the distribution center;
- Coordinate schedules with materials manager to ensure all kits are ready for distribution;
- Refurbish kits as required by standards;
- Unload and inventory new shipments of materials;
- Assist schools with loading and unloading of kits;
- Communicate with and build rapport with regional school staff and administrators;
- Collaboratively work with other team members;
- Be able to work independently;
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Drive a box truck or delivery van;
- Load and unload materials into a box truck or delivery van.
