What are the responsibilities and job description for the HOA Insurance Sales Agent position at Ultimate Staffing?
Insurance Sales Agent (HOA & Condominium Focus)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Marlborough, MA
Exempt Status: Salary (see below: based on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking a driven and consultative Insurance Sales Agent to specialize in Homeowners Association (HOA) and Condominium insurance programs. This is not a high-volume transactional sales role-it is an advisory position focused on educating clients and designing insurance programs that protect shared property, governance structures, and financial stability.
In this role, you will work closely with HOA boards, trustees, property managers, and unit owners to evaluate risk, identify coverage gaps, and place tailored insurance programs. Success in this position requires strong consultative sales skills, technical insurance knowledge, and the ability to clearly explain complex concepts.
This is a niche insurance role focused on HOA master policies and HO-6 condominium coverage, requiring a higher level of client education and policy coordination than traditional personal lines sales.

Sales & Business Development
Generate new business through outbound prospecting, referrals, and strategic partnerships
Build and manage a pipeline of HOA and condominium association opportunities
Conduct sales consultations with HOA boards and key decision-makers

Client Advisory & Relationship Management
Educate clients on HOA master policies, including property, general liability, D&O, and excess coverage
Advise unit owners on HO-6 policies and coverage coordination with master policies
Identify gaps in existing insurance programs (e.g., deductibles, valuation, ordinance or law exposure)
Build long-term relationships with HOA boards, trustees, and property managers
Insurance Placement & Strategy
Collect underwriting data, loss history, and relevant governing documents
Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to market and negotiate accounts
Deliver structured insurance proposals aligned with client needs and governing documents
Support renewals and ongoing policy servicing

Partner with account managers and leadership to ensure smooth client onboarding and renewals
Maintain accurate CRM records and manage sales pipeline reporting
Contribute ideas to improve sales processes and overall client experience
