Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Irvine, CA

Pay: $35 /hr.

Schedule: Onsite, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours: ~40 hours per month (potential for more); ~75% of hours fall within the first two weeks of the month

Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and self‑sufficient Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to support key monthly accounting activities in our client's Irvine office. This role is ideal for an accounting professional that is comfortable working independently while collaborating with the AP/AR lead and a small accounting team. The Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper will be responsible for routine accounting operations, reconciliations, and month‑end support.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete bank reconciliations on a monthly cycle
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) processing and follow‑up
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) processing and follow‑up
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
• Support month‑end close activities as needed
• Utilize QuickBooks for all accounting functions

Requirements

• 5 years of accounting experience required
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
• Solid understanding of reconciliations, AR, and AP processes
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Work Environment

• Onsite role located in Irvine, CA
• Heaviest workload occurs during the first half of each month
• Collaborative but self‑directed working style
