Our client is seeking a hands-on Assembly Room Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations within the production department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, a commitment to quality, and a passion for driving efficiency and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise assembly operations to ensure high-quality output and efficient workflow
- Assign, schedule, and monitor tasks to meet daily production goals
- Lead, coach, and support team members while addressing performance or personnel concerns
- Approve employee timecards and PTO requests
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Operate and maintain hand tools and production equipment as needed
- Ensure product quality and proper component alignment during assembly
- Support production scheduling and internal communication between departments
- Participate in management and safety meetings
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate production records and equipment logs
- Secure the facility at the end of each shift
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or production supervision
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Proficient with Cin7/Core, Monday.com, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets
- Knowledge of quality control, safety standards, and workflow optimization
- Ability to multitask and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs
- Requires visual acuity for close, distance, and color perception
- Active presence on the production floor
