At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we partner with school districts across Texas to support students with speech and language needs. We are currently hiring Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for school-based opportunities in the Houston area.
This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about helping students improve communication skills and fully access their educational environment.
What You’ll Do
As an SLP in a school setting, you will provide assessment, intervention, and support for students with a variety of communication needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
Provide direct therapy services to students (individual and group)
Address a range of communication needs (articulation, language, fluency, voice, etc.)
Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and provide clinical recommendations
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
Stay current with best practices and special education regulations
What You’ll Need
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Active Texas SLP license
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply (supervision available)
Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations is a plus
Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education services
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
