At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we partner with school districts across Texas to support students with speech and language needs. We are currently hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for school-based opportunities in the Austin area.
This role is ideal for clinicians who want to work in a collaborative educational environment while making a direct impact on student outcomes.
What You’ll Do
As an SLP in a school setting, you will support students across a variety of communication needs while working alongside educators and special education teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
Develop and manage individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
Provide direct and/or group therapy services to students
Track progress and adjust treatment strategies based on outcomes
Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute clinical recommendations
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain compliant, timely documentation and service logs
Support students with a range of needs (articulation, language, fluency, social communication, etc.)
What You’ll Need
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Active Texas SLP license or eligibility
ASHA CCCs preferred (CFs encouraged to apply – supervision available)
School-based or pediatric experience is a plus
Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education services
Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize effectively
Work Environment & Flexibility
Caseloads typically range from Pre-K through High School
