Role Description This full-time on-site Speech Language Pathologist role is based in Houston, TX. The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy services to pediatric clients with diverse communication and swallowing needs. Daily responsibilities include documenting progress, maintaining accurate and timely clinical records, and collaborating with families, caregivers, and other providers to support carryover of skills. The role also involves participating in team meetings, consulting on treatment approaches, and staying current with best practices and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide comprehensive Speech Therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.
- Clinical expertise in Speech production and articulation to address a variety of speech sound disorders.
- Experience working with Communication Disorders, including social communication and pragmatic challenges.
- Knowledge of Language Disorders, including receptive and expressive language delays and disorders.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech Language Pathologist in Texas.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or strong progress toward obtaining it.
- Strong interpersonal, documentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in pediatric settings is preferred but not required.
