Job Overview:
Two Rivers Enterprises is a mechanical design and metal fabrication company that specializes in the creation of stainless-steel products for the food production and restaurant industries. The Project Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and installation of complex equipment and material handling systems. The Project Engineer must be knowledgeable of the food-processing industry, metal fabrication processes, and metal materials/components.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities and duties of this job include:
- Design and develop complex food-processing equipment and material handling systems utilizing SolidWorks
- Display thorough knowledge of USDA, FDA, and OSHA standards and guidelines
- Use sound engineering principles to design equipment meeting stress expectations, chemical resistance, and performance expectations
- Use SolidWorks Simulation to create and evaluate designs
- Use ERP, assemble accurate bill of materials and final material reporting for purchasing
- Confirm total project cost meets quoted expectation
- Produce customer approval drawings and detailed shop prints
- Work Closely with manufacturing to ensure product conformance
- Contribute to engineering team by meeting assigned deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to interpret machine concepts and mechanical drawings
- Experience with Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Familiar with 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD or DraftSight
- Communication skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and co-workers
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes
- Proficient with SolidWorks, with an emphasis on sheet metal and weldments
Wage Ranges
Pay Based on experience level and job level
- Project Engineer l starting at $65,000 per year
- Project Engineer ll starting at $70,000 per year
- Pay Range: $65,000-$95,000 per year.
