Position Overview
We are looking for a Restaurant Drafter / Estimator & Quoting Specialist who can combine technical drafting expertise with accurate cost estimating. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with CAD software, understands metal fabrication processes, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 2D and 3D CAD drawings for custom restaurant equipment using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
- Interpret sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions into detailed technical drawings.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom equipment, spare parts, and installations using an ERP-based quoting system.
- Calculate material and labor costs based on company standards and project specifics.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates and revisions in the ERP system.
- Continuously improve estimating processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in drafting/design, mechanical or industrial engineering, project management, or related field.
- Experience: 2 years in drafting and/or project coordination in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Experience with ERP systems for quoting and project management.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Pay: $52, $74,880.00 per year
