Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage payroll accurately and on schedule for a large, global employee population
- Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll tax regulations
- Prepare and review payroll-related journal entries and support general ledger (GL) close processes
- Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting
- Partner with HR and Finance to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with internal policies
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the payroll function
Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years of payroll experience in a corporate or professional services environment
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax — multi-state experience is required
- Exposure to general ledger, journal entries, or payroll-related accounting
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage competing priorities in a large team setting
Preferred:
- Experience with ADP and/or Workday
- International or global payroll exposure
- Background that blends payroll with broader accounting, tax, or GL responsibilities
Compensation & Details
- Pay: $28–$34/hour (contract); conversion salary $80,000–$100,000
- Type: Contract-to-Hire
