Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Review employee timecards, timesheets, and attendance records.
- Maintain payroll records and employee information.
- Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and other payroll adjustments.
- Assist with payroll tax filings and reporting.
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and payroll discrepancies.
- Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of payroll or related accounting experience preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and timekeeping software.
- Basic understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, and employment regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
