Duties
- Implement individualized ABA therapy plans designed by licensed behavior analysts to support clients’ developmental goals.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and other self-care routines, promoting independence.
- Collect and document behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Deliver direct behavioral therapy using evidence-based techniques tailored to each client’s needs, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
- Support clients in managing behaviors through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with clients’ families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to provide updates on progress and collaborate on care plans.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and ethical guidelines outlined in the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially those with autism spectrum disorder or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Hands-on experience implementing ABA therapy protocols in home-based or school settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation practices related to behavioral health.
- Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze behavioral data accurately for progress tracking.
- Experience assisting with ADLs and supporting clients’ daily routines in various environments such as homes or schools.
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management strategies tailored for diverse developmental needs.
- Strong client communication skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism when working with children and families.
