Our client is an organization in the Racine County area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 8 years of accounting experience, SOX experience and has strong critical thinking skills. This position is hybrid.
The salary range for this position is $130k-150k
The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all of the company’s financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
- Manage financial reporting processes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings.
- Provide financial insights into executive leadership for strategic planning.
- Lead and mentor accounting teams to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Ad hoc project as needed.
The Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required.
- 8 years of accounting experience.
- SOX experience.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
