What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Truity Partners?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accountant to support our team and help alleviate an increased workload. This role is ideal for someone who can step in quickly, contribute with minimal ramp-up time, and bring strong accounting fundamentals to a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Maintain and analyze standard costing, including reviewing variances and assisting with cost updates
- Work with and review Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy and alignment with costing and inventory
- Analyze financial data and ensure accuracy and completeness of records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
- Provide ad hoc reporting and support as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to cost accounting is a strong plus
- Experience working with SAP is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and quickly integrate into an existing team
