FleetUp is looking for a Shipping Specialist to join our Glendale team. As a Shipping Specialist, you will be responsible for the expedient movement of products in fulfilling customer orders. Primary functions of the Shipping Specialist include the packaging, testing of devices, inventory, and tracking of materials as requested by internal and external customers. Must be very comfortable with technology, software, and hardware. We are a tech company and you will need to test devices before shipping out.
Responsibilities:
- Process all shipping of products, labeling, and inventory warehousing
- Use testing equipment to perform final QC testing of products
- Need excellent computer skills and technical experience in order to use internal
- device setup and provisioning tools and software
- Inspect incoming materials for quality according to procedures
- Assist with input of data into company material management system
- Learn manual skills to setup and configure products as needed
- Assist with document control including filing paper copies of documents
- Be even-tempered and able to multitask and work with a variety of personnel (i.e.
- engineers, marketing, manufacturing technicians, etc...)
- Review order shortages and work with the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to
- ensure shipment arrivals and unloading for timely shipment orders
- Review device production schedule to confirm that dates meet shipping
- requirements and pick schedule
- Review roll-out orders to confirm arrival of product for timely shipment and
- review daily pick schedule to confirm scheduled orders have been completed
- Verify materials and/or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and
- reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
- Route materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing
- materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
- Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials
Qualifications:
- Experience shipping International goods to Asia, Mexico, Canada and South America
- Strong Excel skills (will be tested)
- Extremely Tech Savvy
- Comfortable with hardware and SIM cards
- 2 years of experience in a shipping role
Nice to have skills:
- Activating SIM cards in devices
- Experience with ERP systems
