Trueline's client, a growing construction organization supporting commercial and multifamily projects, is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to join their team in a primarily office-based role with local site visits. This is a hands-on opportunity for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys estimating, project coordination, design review, and keeping complex projects on track from preconstruction through closeout.
What You'll Do as the Commercial Project Manager:
- Manage commercial and multifamily construction projects from early planning through completion
- Prepare project estimates, labor and material budgets, margin expectations, and scope reviews
- Partner with owners, architects, general contractors, internal sales teams, and trade partners
- Review project drawings, specifications, quantities, and product configurations for accuracy
- Create and update CAD drawings to support project designs and client requirements
- Coordinate procurement, field sequencing, site visits, milestones, change orders, and billing documentation
- Track budgets, schedules, production progress, and monthly requisitions
Must-Haves as the Commercial Project Manager:
- 3 years of construction industry experience
- Experience with estimating, takeoffs, scope review, and quote preparation
- Ability to manage multiple active projects with accuracy and professionalism
- Strong communication, analytical, math, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- CAD experience for layout, design updates, or project modifications
- Valid driver's license if operating a company vehicle
- Ability to work overtime or weekends as needed
Nice-to-Haves as the Commercial Project Manager:
- Commercial or multifamily construction project management experience
- Experience with ERP systems, especially Oracle
- Background partnering with sales teams on project estimates or configurations
- Experience preparing schedule of values, requisitions, and change order pricing
- Value engineering or design-build coordination experience
