Trueline's client, a fast-growing residential restoration contractor, is seeking an Estimator to join their team supporting insurance-driven rebuild projects across Connecticut. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to scope and price restoration work accurately while working within insurance guidelines to drive profitable outcomes.
What You'll Do as the Estimator:
- Scope residential fire, water, and storm damage projects
- Write detailed estimates using Xactimate
- Review and align estimates with insurance carrier pricing requirements
- Communicate with homeowners, adjusters, and internal project teams
- Partner closely with Project Managers to ensure project accuracy and profitability
- Track revisions, approvals, and estimate updates throughout the project lifecycle
Must-Haves as the Estimator:
- Experience estimating residential construction or restoration projects
- Proficiency with Xactimate or similar estimating software
- Strong understanding of insurance-based pricing models
- Ability to write clear, detailed, and accurate scopes of work
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice-to-Haves as the Estimator:
- Background in fire, water, or storm restoration
- 10 years of estimating experience
- Experience negotiating with insurance adjusters
- Field experience in construction or carpentry
