Tacker (Helper/Apprentice)
Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4-day workweek!)
Hourly Rate: $18–$20/hr
Job Overview:
We are looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Tackers. In this role, you will assist Fitters in assembling pipe systems, performing grinding tasks, and gaining valuable experience toward becoming a skilled Fitter. As a Tacker, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and assembly process, learning the ropes to advance your career in welding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Fitters in fitting and aligning pipe components.
- Perform grinding tasks to prepare materials for welding.
- Help prepare equipment and tools for welders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a high standard of work quality.
Requirements:
- Must pass a 2-inch GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) test and 6G welding test.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a welding or metalworking environment is a plus, but not required.
