Job Summary:
The Welder is responsible for performing a variety of duties including welding and metal fabrication of commercial restaurant components. This employee will be involved in manufacturing of metal furniture and elements of varied complexity including fabrication of products, equipment operation, machine set-up, and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Complete set-up and operation of MIG and TIG welding equipment, including use of proper jigs.
- Closely inspects materials for defects, proper weld/welding techniques, tolerances, customer specifications, and dimensions on products.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, tool changes, and minor repairs to welding and metal fabrication processes.
Essential Skills:
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team-based environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Excellent communication skills
Education and Experience:
- 2 years working as a welder
- Metal fabrication experience is a plus
- Welding certification preferred
- Must be able to pass a TIG weld test
