Job Title: Material Handler / Shipping & Receiving
Pay: $18–$23 per hour (adjust if needed)
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Summary
The Material Handler / Shipping & Receiving position supports both production and materials teams by ensuring materials, tooling, and work orders are available and properly staged. This role helps maintain efficient workflow, accurate inventory, and on-time delivery of products.
Primary Duties
Support production activities to improve efficiency and meet delivery timelines
Move materials, tooling, and work orders throughout the facility
Receive, stage, and organize incoming materials and finished products
Assist with shipping and receiving functions, including loading and unloading trucks
Work with the materials team to maintain and reduce inventory levels
Support production control by tracking and distributing work orders
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
Maintain accurate inventory records and organization of materials
Optimize flow of materials to support production scheduling
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Understanding of manufacturing or warehouse operational flow
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Team-oriented with flexibility to support multiple departments
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); ERP experience a plus
Experience with Epicor preferred
Education & Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or related environment
Forklift experience required
Inventory control experience preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to move throughout the facility, including stairs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and carrying materials
Comfortable working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
