Document Control Specialist
Location: Superior, WI (Hybrid – Onsite Monday, Tuesday & Thursday) (Local Candidate only)
Duration: Until Jun 2027 (with a possibility of extension)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Document Control Specialist / Records Management Analyst IV to support engineering drawing control, records management, and process safety information (PSI) initiatives. This role will manage engineering drawings within Meridian, coordinate drawing reviews and project turnover activities, resolve drawing discrepancies, support as-built documentation, and provide training and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve broken hybrid drawings and CAD x-reference issues within Meridian.
- Update and publish current PDF renditions aligned with approved master drawings.
- Identify and correct legacy drawing and metadata discrepancies.
- Support as-built drawing consolidation, publishing, and project turnover activities.
- Coordinate drawing requests through BIM-JIRA and Service Request tools.
- Track project review and turnover status from design through as-built phases.
- Conduct drawing control reviews and ensure compliance with drawing management standards.
- Create and manage project workspaces, folders, and document structures.
- Provide training and support for drawing management systems and processes.
- Develop reports, KPIs, procedures, and user documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree, technical diploma, or equivalent combination of education and drawing control experience.
- 2–4 years of document control, records management, or drawing control experience within engineering, construction, utilities, or industrial environments.
- Experience with engineering drawings, document management systems, and records management processes.
- Knowledge of EDMSLink, BIM-JIRA, MS Access, and Excel.
- Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic drafting/CAD experience.
- Experience with Meridian EDMS.
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint 2013 and Bluebeam.
- Background supporting engineering, pipeline, facility, or construction projects.
