About the Role
Wayne Brothers is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support its Process Integration Group in Walterboro, South Carolina. This role is responsible for leading industrial construction projects from planning and procurement through execution and project closeout.
The successful candidate will oversee project budgets, schedules, safety programs, subcontractor coordination, client communications, and overall project performance while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Review project plans, specifications, estimates, proposals, and contract requirements.
- Develop project execution strategies in collaboration with field leadership.
- Analyze project risks and identify mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate project budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and resource planning.
- Support successful project startup, execution, and closeout activities.
Budget & Cost Management
- Monitor project costs, labor productivity, and financial performance.
- Review invoices, timesheets, production reports, and project expenditures.
- Prepare revenue projections and progress billing documentation.
- Analyze actual versus budgeted costs and forecast future project performance.
Leadership & Team Coordination
- Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings and support ongoing coordination activities.
- Mentor team members and contribute to employee development initiatives.
- Foster strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
Safety & Quality Management
- Ensure compliance with company safety programs, site-specific safety plans, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate preparation and implementation of project safety plans.
- Monitor quality control activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a safe and productive work environment throughout project execution.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Participate in project coordination meetings and client communications.
- Manage change orders and project documentation.
- Represent the company professionally throughout all project phases.
- Support business development, estimating, and strategic initiatives when required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of related project management experience.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, and coordination abilities.
- Experience managing industrial or construction-related projects.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification required (training may be provided).
