About the Role
TDS Telecom is seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial Account Executive to join its Commercial Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and delivering customized telecommunications and technology solutions to business customers throughout the De Pere and Green Bay territory.
This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy consultative selling, prospecting, networking, and helping businesses solve operational challenges through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and field outreach.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with business decision-makers.
Consultative Sales
- Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Present and promote TDS products and services, including:
- Fiber Internet Solutions
- Hosted VoIP Solutions
- Premise-Based VoIP Systems
- Managed Services
- Security Solutions
- Communicate value propositions effectively and professionally.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales forecasts using CRM tools.
- Manage the sales process from prospecting through order submission and account activation.
Territory Management
- Manage a designated sales territory and prioritize activities effectively.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals and performance objectives.
- Utilize technology and CRM systems to maximize productivity and sales effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience.
- At least 1 year of cold-calling or prospecting experience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience.
- Experience selling technology, telecommunications, or managed services solutions.
- Proven ability to manage a sales territory effectively.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Target annual earnings of $126,758 (Base Salary Commission).
- $2,000 Sign-On Bonus.
- Uncapped commission structure.
- Six-month earnings ramp-up support.
- Mileage reimbursement between appointments.
